Slice the cucumbers into 1/8-inch slices. Place the cucumber slices in a jar or bowl.
Add vinegar, sugar, water, and salt to the cucumber slices. Submerge the slices in the pickling solution. Gently stir to dissolve the sugar. Pickle the cucumbers for 10 minutes.
Serve the pickles at room temperature or chilled.
Notes
The leftover pickles can be refrigerated up to a month.
