Ingredients

  • lbs Ground beef
  • ¼ cup Soy sauce
  • 5 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Pear
  • 3 Tbsp Scallions
  • ¼ cup Brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame oil
  • Tbsp Grated ginger
  • Burger buns
  • Shredded cabbage or lettuce
  • tomatoes and onions sliced

Instructions

  • Blend or finely chop scallions, pear (peeled and cored), and peeled garlic.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add scallions, pear, garlic, ground beef, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and grated ginger. Mix to combine and form patties that are about 5 inches in diameter and 3/4 inches thick.
  • Cook the patties in skillets over medium-low heat. Cook for 12 minutes on each side, until the patties are cooked through and the sauce has boiled down.
  • Serve on burger buns with vegetable toppings, such as shredded cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, and onion. Alternatively, serve with cooked rice and vegetables on the side.
