Ingredients

- 6 Apples, Gala or Fuji
- 2 cups Cranberries
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon powder
- 2 Tbsp Lemon juice
- 12 Tbsp Butter
- 1 1/2 cups Flour
- 1 cup Oats
- 1 1/2 cups Sugar, Turbinado or brown
- 1 cup Almond slices
Instructions
Let’s begin the Cranberry Apple Crumble by preparing the apples. This dessert has plenty of tartness from cranberries, so it is best to use sweeter apples, such as Gala or Fuji. Peel and core the apples and dice them into one-inch cubes.
To a large bowl, add the apple cubes, cranberries, 1/2 cup of sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon powder. You can use Turbinado sugar or brown sugar. Gently toss to combine.

Pour the cranberry-apple mixture into a 9-inch x 13-inch baking dish.
Next, prepare the crumble topping. Cut cold butter into half-inch cubes and add to a mixing bowl with flour, oats, 1 cup sugar, and almond slices. Then, use a pastry cutter, forks, or your hand to combine all the ingredients until crumbles have formed.
Sprinkle the crumbles on the cranberry apple mixture and place the whole thing into a 350 ºF oven. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until the crumble toppings are golden brown and juices are bubbling.

Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. If you want to make it extra special, consider drizzling caramel! Or serve it cold with a side of greek yogurt for breakfast.
