This chocolate tofu smoothie bowl is irresistibly scrumptious, yet somehow surprisingly nutritious and healthy. Just one serving of this smoothie bowl has 10 grams of protein! It is a vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free recipe that is super simple to make. There is no cooking involved and it takes only 5 minutes to make!
The special ingredient that makes this smoothie so healthy is silken tofu. Silken tofu holds the most moisture of all types of tofu, and its texture resembles a pudding or jelly. The silken tofu tastes very mild, adding healthy protein to the smoothie without sacrificing its rich, chocolaty flavor. Enjoy this cold cocoa concoction guilt-free knowing you’re getting some nutrition!
This chocolate tofu smoothie bowl is great for breakfast, snack, or dessert. Scroll down to see how you can make this delicious smoothie bowl!
Ingredients

- 16 oz Silken tofu
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened almond milk
- 1 Frozen banana
- 2 Tbsp Cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp Maple syrup
Toppings
- 4 Tbsp Almond slices or slivers
- 4 Tbsp Shredded Coconut
- 1/2 cup Raspberries
- 1 Banana, sliced
- 2 Tbsp Chocolate chips or chunks (optional)
Instructions

Making this delicious smoothie is very simple. Add silken tofu, almond milk, frozen banana, cocoa powder, and maple syrup into a blender. Blend all the ingredients until smooth, and the chocolate tofu smoothie part of the recipe is done!
Note: this recipe calls for a frozen banana in the smoothie, which helps to thicken the smoothie. You can also use a room temperature banana, but the finished product may not be as thick.
Now, you can either pour the chocolate tofu smoothie into a glass and drink the smoothie, or pour it into a bowl to enjoy it as a smoothie bowl.
To complete the smoothie bowl, top the chocolate tofu smoothie with shredded coconut, almond slices, banana slices and fresh raspberries. You can also add a few chocolate pieces for extra chocolaty goodness. While you may enjoy this suggested combination of toppings, feel free to tailor your smoothie bowl based on your own tastes and dietary needs. Be creative!
Here are some other smoothie bowl topping ideas:
