If you have been searching for a snack that is quick and easy to make, yet tastes simply amazing, congratulations! You have found THE one! This avocado cream with lime is one of my favorites to whip up in the summer since it involves no cooking, and the crowd loves it! Fresh avocados and sour cream make this avocado cream rich and thick, while lime juice and zest brighten it with their sour and tart flavor. Last but not least, cilantro and garlic spice it up for some Mexican flair.
This avocado cream with lime is a versatile recipe that you can enjoy as:
- A dip for tortilla chips or vegetables
- A dressing for salads
- A condiment for tacos, burritos, or rice bowls
- A spread for sandwiches
My favorite way of using this Avocado cream is in corn salad. The corn salad is great as an appetizer or a side, and didn’t stand a chance against my husband and three boys. Whichever way you choose to enjoy this avocado cream, you will love the bright freshness and rich creaminess that it brings!
Ingredients
- 2 Hass Avocados
- 2 Limes
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1/3 cup Cilantro, fresh
- 1 cup Sour cream
- 1 tsp Salt
Instructions

As I mentioned earlier, this is a super simple recipe. It can be done in just 5 minutes!
First, cut the well-ripened avocados in half and remove the seeds. Using a spoon or a dinner knife, scrape out the avocado into the blender. Add sour cream, cilantro, salt, and peeled garlic cloves. Then, using a fine grater or a zester, zest the limes and add the lime zest to the mix. Finally, squeeze the lime juice into the blender. Once all the ingredients are in, blend until smooth.
